The Minnesota Pipe Trades Scholarship

We draw two scholarships in memory of Brother Elmer Walls, each in the amount of 'at least $1000.00' and present them to the son or daughter of any member in good standing whose local union is affiliated with the Minnesota Pipe Trades Association.

The recipients of these scholarships will be selected by lottery and must have obtained a 2.5 grade point average in their last school year and must attend an accredited Trade School, Junior College, College or University as a full-time student.

Each United Association member in good standing may submit ONE application only. Documentation verifying a 2.5 gpa or higher in the applicant's last school year must be submitted with the Scholarship application form.

All applications must be received in the secretary's office, 4402 Airpark Blvd, Duluth, Minnesota 55811, no later July 30th. The winner will be selected in August. All applications must be signed by the members business manager verifying that the member submitting the application is in good standing, and the application must bear the seal of the United Association.

Checks for Scholarships will be issued in two payments and will be made out jointly to the recipient and the school selected for attendance.

Please check back soon for the 2012 scholarship forms.
